KU Astronomy Public Telescope Nights are every 2nd Thursday of the month just outside of Malott Hall. Weather permitting, we set out the department telescopes to let visitors see the night sky. Join us to view planets, the Moon and other astronomical objects! Visitors are also welcome to bring their own telescope. All ages and experience welcome!
Start times change throughout the year due to the change in when the Sun sets.
- October - March: 6:00pm
- April - September: 8:00pm
